KB-1® and KB-1® Plus bioaugmentation cultures enhance bioremediation success by introducing critical dechlorinating microbes to sites where they are absent or present at insufficient concentrations. Bioaugmentation leads to faster bioremediation, which means more efficient use of electron donors, reduced O&M requirements, lowering overall project costs.
KB-1® Plus is a suite of custom blended microbial culture formulations for bioaugmentation of sites with inhibitory concentrations of chlorinated ethanes (e.g. 1,1,1-trichloroethane [1,1,1-TCA] and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane [1,1,2,2-TECA]) and chlorinated methanes (e.g. carbon tetrachloride [CTC] and chloroform [CF]), which are often comingled with chlorinated ethenes.
SiREM is pleased to announce the availability of a new passive sampler, the Waterloo Membrane Sampler™ (WMS™) for monitoring VOC vapor concentrations. Originally developed at the University of Waterloo, this sampler has undergone three years of applied research and is now available for commercial use.
